Founding Story

Captain Ahmed Al-Hariri

With over two decades navigating the world's most demanding sea lanes, Captain Ahmed Al-Hariri returned to Egypt with a clear mission: the MENA maritime sector was fragmented, analogue, and underserved. World-class professionals were operating without a world-class platform.

In 2025, he founded Shiptify — the Arabic word "Marasi" meaning ports or harbours — as a digital harbour where every segment of the maritime ecosystem could dock, connect, learn, and grow.

From Cairo's seafront offices to boardrooms in Riyadh, Shiptify's network now spans 42 countries and continues to expand with the conviction that maritime knowledge is a strategic national asset.
